To create and develop you own political, economical and geographical Empire in a huge and infinite universe, full of galaxies, star systems and huge planets ! Arlandia is a new concept in the world of persistent servers for Neverwinter Nights. Here are a few princips of this concept :

4) Arlandia Informations Here are basic informations about Arlandia :
In UOA, the Universe is infinite. It can be extanded limitlessly, by increasing its size and its number of star systems/planets. So new galaxies, star systems and planets may be discovered at all time. The Universe is flat. - the Planets All the planets have their own configuration (name, location, size, type, areas, creatures, resources, ambiance, interests) that are fully customisable in one single script. Planets are round, it means when you hit a map border you'll appear at the other side of the map. - the Areas The game
areas of each planetss are generated at the first module start. They are
chosen randomly following the planet configuration. Unique areas can also be
configured individually. - the Cities The cities are the central place of each planet, where players can land or take-off. They hold some basic shops and a good security point. Although they are more important than towns, they don't offer more facilities. - the Towns Towns are generated randomly by the system, with random houses, name and shops. They offer nearly the same facilities as the cities. - the Shops Shops exist everywhere, but only in limited numbers, and offering useful but weak items for sale. Each city or town hold a general store, a player shop, a bank, an inn, a tavern and a special shop, chosen randomly. Players can settle better shops in their domains. - the Domains Domains are huge fields built by players which hold an economic activity chosen by their owner. They can be built in any free area (no city, town, dungeon or other domain). Players then choose which activities they want their domains to work in (agriculture, livestock, resources extraction, construction, factory, education, entertainment, employment, health, hospitality, merchant, military, policy or transports). The domains produce the best and most powerful items or henchmen. No limit in how many domains a player can control in the whole universe ! - the Dungeons Although they are not the most enjoyable part of Arlandia, dungeons still exist and hold interesting treasures. But they are also dangerous places with surprising beasts. - the Creatures In Arlandia, the creatures, animals, NPCs or monsters, are placed randomly and live a real life. They move, alone or in band, search for food, attack a prey, rest. Each creature holds a remain. - the Resources Resources are extremely important because they are used to craft or build everything. They are also chosen and placed randomly according to the planet configuration. - the Ambiances Each place, each planet, each area may have its own ambiance (sound and visual). You'll never think you still play in the same world. - the Interests What are called "interests" in Arlandia are every place generated randomly on the map which hold an interest, like a town, a dungeon, a domain or other interesting things. - the Crafting Although the domains produce very good items, and although the shops sell items, players still have to learn a few crafting skills, because domains are very specialised and shops only offer low-quality items. Crafting is complementary to shops and domains. - the Levels (XPs) In Arlandia, weak classes (such as bards or rogues) progress faster than strong classes (like clerics or fighters). This equilibrates the strength between the classes. Additional bonuses or maluses may be added to the classes. - the Races Additionaly to the seven basic classes, the players have the possibility to play monster races. Each race give bonuses and maluses cumulated with the basic feats. - the Talents Apart from the skills and the feats, players can also learn talents, extra feats which can be learned at any level, independantly of the race or class of the character. They are accessible to everybody. - the Plots Arlandia will offer many plots generated randomly at every module start. So the missions will never be the same or will never take place at the same location. - the Transports Public airships will take adventurers from one city or town to another city or town. Public starships will take adventurers from one planet to another planet, in a limited distance. Public transports are very expensive. Players can build their own transports or even hold a transport company within a domain. - the Mounts Horses can be bought and mounted. Special horse talents may be useful if you have henchmen. - the Goal ? What is the goal of playing in Arlandia ? The goal will be the one you choose : Hack'n'Slash as well as Role-Playing are possible, exploring and discovering can be very exciting, as well as building, crafting or managing domains. Remember that this module is infinite, and new places and challenges will hatch constantly. DM campaigns will take place to write the History of the Universe of Arlandia. Will you rule one planet ? or even influence a whole star system ? If more than one server hosts UOA, each server can be considered as a galaxy among others forming the whole Universe. Links (portals) between galaxies (servers) may be open in the Space. - Surprises and new contents It is impossible to list all the features of the module. The best way to discover them is to play. New things will be implemented regularly.
